Shoot Like A Girl approached Alps Outdoorz about the need in the marketplace for a day pack specifically designed with features most women desired; based on data not speculation. Alps Outdoorz accepted the proposal, and with these two companies, both leading experts in their field, joining forces, success was inevitable. Shoot Like A Girl utilized their unique database, comprised of women across the United Sates and the largest of its kind, and their social reach to conduct product development research and analysis.
As a result, in two short weeks, they received input from over 2,500 women on what features were desired in a pack, what price they would pay and what they would use it for.
The data analysis report was provided to Alps Outdoorz by Shoot Like A Girl, and their design team was able to quantifiably accommodate the top needs of women, while remaining in an acceptable price point. The report defined the non-negotiable features that needed to be considered in order to best accommodate different body types. The Alps Outdoorz design team provided Shoot Like A Girl with prototypes for testing that were sent to selected members of their team, and on display at marketing events across the country. Ladies loved the pack and recommended only a few minor adjustments; and with these modifications, the Shoot Like A Girl Alps Outdoor Allurebackpack was created. The pack is being well received across the industry; and included by Guns.com in their article The Most Exciting New Gear for Hunters at Shot Show 2019. Within a week of its pre-order release, the pack was picked up by two major retailers. This is the type of power that comes with the knowledge from market research. Women now have a backpack tailor made just for them and they are flexing their buying power.
